Job Description

Job Title: Medical Representative (MR)
Location: Any Location
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reporting To: Area Sales Manager

Job Purpose:

To promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals in a defined territory, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and market pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular visits to hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to generate prescriptions and product demand.
  • Organize meetings with healthcare professionals to present and demonstrate company products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Ensure territory sales targets are met or exceeded on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Collect feedback and market intelligence to support the development of marketing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily visits, sales reports, and other administrative tasks using CRM tools or company systems.
  • Participate in training programs, sales meetings, and promotional events organized by the company.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, or related field (B.Sc./B.Pharm preferred)
  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales (Freshers can also apply)
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong sales and negotiation abilities
    • Good knowledge of MS Office and reporting tools
    • Self-motivated, target-driven, and well-organized
    • Willingness to travel within assigned territory
