Job Description
Job Title:Â Medical Representative (MR)
Location: Any Location
Department:Â Sales & Marketing
Reporting To:Â Area Sales Manager
Job Purpose:
To promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals in a defined territory, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and market pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular visits to hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to generate prescriptions and product demand.
- Organize meetings with healthcare professionals to present and demonstrate company products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Ensure territory sales targets are met or exceeded on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Collect feedback and market intelligence to support the development of marketing strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of daily visits, sales reports, and other administrative tasks using CRM tools or company systems.
- Participate in training programs, sales meetings, and promotional events organized by the company.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:Â Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, or related field (B.Sc./B.Pharm preferred)
- Experience: 0–2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales (Freshers can also apply)
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities
- Good knowledge of MS Office and reporting tools
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and well-organized
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
